Section: Inquiries
This section shows all the inquiries in the last 90 days. It displays:
- what credit bureaus were used to request your report
- the date when it happened
- what entity requested the information
There are two types of inquiry. A hard inquiry is when you’ve applied for credit, which gives a lender permission to pull your credit report. All hard inquiries are available for all credit grantors to review. A soft inquiry is only available for you to see, and it doesn’t influence your credit score.
This is what the above means in layman terms:
- MBNA, which is the major credit card provider checked your credit on December 29th of 2003 with Experian and TransUnion
- Factual Data, which is the creditor report service used by many lenders pulled your report on 31st of October, 2003 from Experian and Equifax
- TransUnion was used by Chicago Land Home Mortgage on the same day as the previous one
